US$160.00raised of $21,000.00 goal
Firstly, we'd like to thank everyone who's been praying for our family in the past couple of weeks. October has been a difficult month for us where almost our whole family contracted Covid-19 which resulted in 4 of our family members being hospitalized (moderate to severe cases). 2 were in the ICU and we already lost our grandmother and uncle to the virus. All of this happened in the span of 25 days.
Right now my 13-year old brother-in-law Jeff, my husband John, 5-year old daughter, and I were able to recover, but our mom is still admitted to the hospital. Thankfully, our dad Danilo was discharged last night, Nov. 3, 2021, and is now home for his full recovery.
Our greatest concern right now is my mom-in-law, Janet Sauco Aguete who's been intubated, sedated, and is literally fighting for her life with a slim chance of survival. The virus created permanent damage to her lungs and she is now relying on a mech vent to breathe. On top of this, her hospital bill is still running and with all honesty, we already ran out of resources to provide her daily needs and settle the current running bill.
I never thought or imagined that I would post something like this, but here we are taking all our chances to help keep our mom in the hospital. At this point, we really need financial help. We're already in touch with the hospital's social services but there's no guarantee of assistance and our mom's needs are currently required to be settled on a cash basis every 2 to 3 days since we already maxed out PhilHealth's assistance amount, which will be credited once she is discharged.
Any amount of help will go a long way and together with continuous prayers, we're still hoping to bring our mom home under a better circumstance.
UPDATE (November 8):
Our mom has joined Our Creator today while sedated. The family was able to say our goodbyes and accepted that this is the Lord's will and she is now a peace without pain. As we are now working on bringing her remains home, we are still left with medical bills to settle.
