Jamison Brown’s Support Salary

When I was 17 years old, I heard God very clearly call me into full time ministry. That was a frightening experience for me at that age. I wanted to do what many guys that age wanted to do; watch movies, play video games, and generally not have any responsibility. But even then, He was moving me to serve His church and His people. Through some pushing from a mentor of mine, I ended of preaching at my youth group. While I was speaking, I finally felt like I was doing what God created me to do. After that, I knew I would never be able to do anything else.

Fast forward to today and God is calling me to finally serve His church in a full time capacity. In 2016, I will be working for Front Range Christian Church. Over the last two years I have been a part of helping get the church on the ground from a vision and values standpoint, but even more importantly God has chosen to use me to lead our Pastoral Care ministry (Cares Team). This is the opportunity to be the hands and feet of God in caring for the people in our community, Castle Rock. We visit the sick, bring food to the hungry, offer counsel and guidance, and help people when labor is needed. This is a critical part of any church, but particularly in helping people to trust a recently planted church.

The Cares Team is certainly a full time job in and of itself, but another passion of mine is to help other men discover some important truths about themselves and their role in the world. Statistically, men are critical to the spiritual health of a family and community. I want to help initiate them into the great adventure God is calling them to while avoiding some of the struggles I went through in my life. At Front Range, I have recently started Front Range Men, our men's ministry which is designed to help guys find identity, passion, and purpose in Christ. We are using events to bridge men into community where they can learn about themselves, how God wired them, deal with the wound inside of them, and be encouraged towards growing into the man and leader God has created them to be.

I am also going to be launching a Celebrate Recovery ministry at Front Range in the fall. This ministry will help men and women come face to face with their hurts, habits, and hangups and begin to experience true freedom in Christ. As you can imagine, all of this takes a lot of work; full-time work.

Since Front Range is still very new, we don't bring in enough money to pay the amount of full time staff we need in order to effectively minister to those in our church. To help the church continue to grow and develop, about half of our staff relies on the outside support of individuals just like you. This can happen as a one time gift or a recurring monthly gift and is tax deductible. I want to ask you to prayerfully consider supporting me and the ministries I serve either as a one time gift or for 1 year of smaller, recurring monthly gifts. No amount is too small to help make that difference, but I regularly ask people to consider a $50 monthly gift.
