Our son James is currently at Great Ormond street Hospital,he was transferred there at 3 days old from Royal Berkshire hospital. James has remained in hospital since birth and is now 7months old. We also have a 20 month old daughter, so dad has had to leave work so one of Us can care for our daughter while the other is at great Ormond street with James. For 7 months now we have travel back and forth each day to try and be there for both our children. The time has come where money is very much a struggle, and we are so worried we won't be able to afford to travel to be with our son, as it is costing £466 to travel each month for one person. We have exhausted every option for help with travel or accommadation and had some help off the lovely WGG ladies a few months back, little did we know James would still be there. We have set up a funding page as a few people have said they would like help, we are greatful for any help, any donations made will be spent on travel cost or acommadation to be with our son. About James James is a happy 7 month old baby, he has been in hospital since birth due to suffering from a rare condition called congenital Hyperinsulinism. It's a condition where his pancreas is producing to much insulin causing his blood sugar levels to dangerously drop. If levels are not kept stable they can cause dizziness, seizures, brain damage and even death. James has remained in hospital as he need continuous fluids and medications to keep these levels safe. He has had two previous surgeries to try and cure him of this condition, how ever both were unsuccessful, medications have also been tried but James did not respond to these. We are now waiting on a third surgery and pray that this works so we can finally bring James home!
