Jamaica

I’m writing to you today, to give you insight on a missions trip opportunity I have. The church I attend, Covenant Church, has a vision and servant’s heart to help people here, near and far away. I’ve been asked to go on a mission trip to Jamaica, July 25-31, 2015. We are looking forward to sharing God’s love with the people of Montego Bay. Montego Bay is Jamaica’s 2nd largest city and is a city with beautiful beaches and resorts, juxtaposed by abject poverty. WE will be going to partner with a church in Montego Bay to run Vacation Bible School and sports camps for children, as well as help build a new building on their site for further ministry use. Our goal on this trip is to make a tangible difference in partnering with this local church, as well as make an eternal difference by sharing God’s love with children in Jamaica. I need to raise $1,200 for this trip. This money will cover the cost of my flight, lodging, food, transportation and materials needed for the mission. To help me get to Jamaica, I will be working to earn money this summer, participating in fundraisers and sending out support letters to friends and family who may be willing to invest in this venture. I’m writing to ask that you would invest in my Jamaica 2015 mission trip in any way that you can.
