Jake & Carrie need a house:

We need money for a down payment on a house: Hey guys, This is Jake. Me and my wife, Carrie, have been living in Colorado for about seven years hopping from apartment to apartment as prices increase. We have both gotten better jobs since we have moved here but everytime we make a step foreward something pushes us back. I had health problems in 2011. Carrie was in a car accident in 2014 leading us to buy a car. This year (a blessing but a costly one) we had our first child, Jamison, born this past January. Now our rent is increasing to over $1,000 per month. Today we are putting our 30 day notice in, leaving the complex. We really need to be settling down and making payments on a house. But with colorado prices things are looking grim. Mobile homes aside, most homes run no lower than $200,000. To make it to at least a 20% down payment we need around $30,000 to $40,000. After that, month to month bills we can handle. We don't have anything close to $30,000. Thank you!
