Help Jaimie Study Veterinary Medicine at Murdoch

Hey there!
Thank you for entering my GoGetFunding page. My name is Jaimie, I am currently polytechnic graduate who would love to further studies in the veterinary field. It has been my interest since young.

I would love to be able to pursue further studies in veterinary medicine and be an animal doctor. As veterinary medicine courses are not available in Singapore, I have to go overseas (most likely Australia) to study. With tuition fees increasing every year, it is hard to keep up with and is very expensive to pay for a decent veterinary medicine education. As an international student, tuition fees are more than double the local's. My living expenses include clothes, groceries, transport, school stationary as well as rent, all these are not cheap too.

I created this account to help fund my overseas university tuition fees as well as to pay for living expenses. The duration of course is over 5 years and it would be a great help to be able to fund part of the fees. The subjects undertaken require much of my time and focus on. This would help relieve some of the financial burden from my parents. They have toiled for many years to put me though school and keep me well fed.

My dream is to be able to contribute and improve the country's animal welfare and medical standards but in order to achieve this i have to go overseas. I have been volunteering at a local shelter and clinic and have seen many cases where animals were abused or too injured and simply put down due to lack of finances and it tugs at my heartstrings every time knowing that i don't have the capabilities to help them . My goal is to become a specialist, such as an orthopedic surgeon and to better educate the public on the standard of living for both companion animals and wildlife. By funding part of my tuition fees, YOU are helping my future endeavors and becoming a veterinarian to improve the standards for animals. Every dollar donated will go a long way to help me.

I was shocked that i received an offer from one of the top universities in Australia for veterinary studies but have yet to accept due to my finances. So I decided to ask for financial support of those who can, to help me to fulfill my childhood dream and future career. I greatly appreciate your effort of pitching in to help me in this wonderful journey, every cent counts!
