Hello, my name is Jahnae Miller and I'm 19 years old and from Hempstead, NY. I've always wanted to study abroad in Japan. I have been accepted to go this summer of 2016 at KCP International and broaden my perspective on life but I do not have the money to . I have a GPA of 3.5 and I am an honor student at Nassau Community College in my 3rd semester and a member of PHI THETA KAPPA . I am in the hospitality major. My dream career is to become a chef like Andrew Zimmern and try different foods from around the world, connecting with different people. I would really appreciate it if people gave me the opportunity to go and learn a new culture and learn new things about myself that I would never learn in my own country. Thank you and I am really grateful for everybody who helps even in the tinest way to give me the chance to study abroad.
I will be using the money for:
-tuition( $6,700 to over $7,000)
-courses in Japanese language and culture for almost 160 hours.
-supplementary materials and textbooks
-Cultural excursions and activities
-airfare ($1,000- $1,500)
-Pick-up at Narita airport
-food( with dorm i have to pay for my own breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
-minor health insurance
-transportation to and from school
I use financial aid to go to school and they aren't able to pay for all the expenses for an outside education. My parents aren't able to pay for all the expenses either. Please if you can help, I would be extremely thankful for your kindness.
