Hi , My 15 year old daughter has just been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder.  She desperately needs Dialectial Behaviour Therapy as soon as possible if she is to have any chance of leading a normal life. As of today she cannot enter a shop and buy an item alone, she could not ask a stranger for directions or help. She self harms herself and just wants to die. It breaks my heart to see my child suffering like this and not being able to help her. Most days I find her lying alone on her bedroom floor crying as she does not know who she is and feels a deep guilt because of the impact her illness has on the family, she has four brothers who she loves greatly but constantly pushes them away for fear of hurting them if she has a crisis.  in school she spends her days alone, she gets through each 24 hours as they come phoning me for emotional support throughout the day and night, to overcome suicidal thoughts, increasing her guilt as she see's me exhausted in the day.  I dread the morning as I fear one day I may find my beautiful little girl has had enough!!  The NHS has an 8month waiting list for the DBT thearapy she needs so badly and as me and my husband work so our farm alone money is so tight we simply cannot afford to provide the weekly therapy sessions she so badly needs!! One session costs £100.  we have applied for disability living allowance for her, the first social security benefit we have ever claimed!! That was put in on April 28th and is still with a decision maker, mental illnesses are just not taken seriously enough !! Any amount donated would be so gratefully received..thank you :o)
