Jacob, who is 18, and Hunter, who is 11, are two  brothers who lost their Mother years ago to desease. This was a hard blow to for any child to deal with but two days ago they were dealt another devestating hit when the house they were living in caught fire while they were sleeping. Jacob woke to flames coming through his bedroom door leaving him only one escape, through his bedroom window. He lost consciousness from smoke inhalation and was revived by firemen at the scene. By this time the house was so engulfed, Firemen would not risk going back inside. The problem was his eleven year old brother Hunter was still inside. Jacob pleaded with them to save his brother but they said no one was allowed to go back inside. Jacob grabbed a flashlight out of a Fireman's hand and rushed inside the burning building to save his baby brother. He somehow made it to his brothers bedroom and by breaking his window, carried his unconcious brother out of the house to safety. Jacob saved his little brother but was badly burned during the attempt. His hands and arms were so badly burned he had to be taken to a St. Louis Medical Center for treatment. His brother Hunter was treated locally for smoke inhalation and released. They have no insurance and are not only facing extensive medical bills, but they lost everything they owned in the fire. They have no clothes, no toys, no anything. Life has dealt these two kids a bad hand and I'm asking for help to show these children that there is also still good in the world. If you can help please do.
