Jackson saves the sea turtles

Jackson will be 10 years old in June and has been through more than any child should in a decade. From a sick mother fighting cancer, to loosing an estranged father at 9, the road hasn’t been easy for him. He’s grown into a beautiful, passionate, artistic, mature young man. We are best friends. Traveling has always been a passion of mine. In 2020 I traveled to Bali for 3 weeks and my whole path in life changed. Covid hit and I was out of work and became TEFL certified and began teaching English to children in Beijing China. I then discovered IVHQ and signed up to teach English to children in Guatemala in May 2021. With plans to leave American permanently for work in 2022 I took Jax to get his passport and now it’s time for US to travel and for me to show him the world I’m only now discovering in my late 30s. In June we will be traveling to Costa Rica for 2 weeks to work with IVHQ again helping the sea turtles. We are so excited! We know during this horrible time asking for a contribution may seem distasteful but this isn’t for me! This is for Jackson. I’ve learned so much these past 10 years with battling cancer and learning lessons in life. I want to give Jax something I’ve only dreamed of until now.
