Jack’s February Marathon for HCPT and MVC

Hi guys!

Those of you who know me will know that when it comes to running I usually stay clear of it! However I set myself the challenge of training for and taking place in a marathon taking place on the 28th February.

Although this concept is daunting I am doing it for two charities very close to my heart. These are:

HCPT (Group 3) - This charity I worked with last year. They take children from Bettridge School here in Cheltenham to Lourdes for a week. The volunteers do everything for them! It is hard work but to see their smiles it is all worth it! It is an experience the children never forget. It is quite expensive but the families are not required to pay for it!

The second charity is Christian Life Movement (CLM) based in Petrópolis, Brazil. This charity I have worked with for the past three years. They go into areas near Petrópolis of high poverty teaching (where the education quality is very low), praying for them and giving them any help they may need. The change to happiness for the people helped is truly extrodinary!

So the money that you donate will be used for both these charities spliting it 50%/50%.

In return, and this is the bit that is a bit daunting, I will pledge to train three times a week in all weather come rain or shine, to then run the 26 miles in February - running the Heartbreaker Marathon!
