Campaign Story
I figured if some guy could get $55,000 for making potato salad then this couldn't hurt, so here's my story:
On April 3, 2014, I suffered a trimalleolar fracture with dislocation to my right ankle during a taekwondo training session. To fill those of you in who may not know, that means I broke 3 bones & dislocated 2 more in my right ankle & leg. It hurt... bad! Anyway, I was rushed to the ER where the dislocations were reset & I was stabilized until I could get into surgery first thing the next morning. I had to have 2 pins inserted on the inside of my ankle to reattach the chunk of bone (the medial malleolus) that had completely broken off. I also had to have a plate with 8 screws attached to the outside of my ankle in order to hold the spiral fracture of my lateral malleolus & fibula together. After all of that fun, I couldn't walk for 6 months... at all. Then it was 2 months of physical therapy because that's all I was allowed. Since I was a student when all of this happened I had no insurance, and now I have a mountain of debt, not only from the injury but from also being out of work for the last 10 months because both of my jobs required being on my feet all day. I'm no where near a 100% but at least I can walk again. So, today, as I hunt for work in my new field (I graduated while I was laid up) I am looking for alternative methods to widdle down some of my debt. I greatly appreciate any & all help
