Dear Animal Lovers,
I am adopting this dog, Jack. He was born in a crowded shelter in South Carolina and has been living with a foster for about three weeks. He's not used to a typical dog life, is shy, and gets spooked easily.
His foster lives in a county where pit bulls are illegal. If she is spotted with him by an ignorant citizen, Jack will be taken and euthanized.
When Jack is adopted, he is going to need lots of training to be the best pibble he can be! He's got to strive for a Good Canine Citizen certification because his breed is discriminated against for an undeserved bad rap. I am determined to responsibly raise this little guy and to educate those who are weary about the breed.
This responsibility comes at a high cost. After calculating training, certification, vet, and other expenses, it's not going to be cheap to give Jack the best life possible and to turn him into a model American Pit Bull Terrier advocate over his first couple of months in his forever home.
All dog owners have a responsibility to make sure our dogs behave well in public. When people are bombarded with bad headlines about pit bulls, it’s easy to understand why they’re nervous when they see one on the street. Jack and I can help alter that perception.
Please help me get Jack on his feet over the adjustment period when he arrives in my home. Jack promises to pose for lots of pictures that will be added to this page in return! Most of all, he promises to pass his training classes with flying colors and live his life to the fullest.
Donations over $50 will be mailed a picture of Jack along with details of how he's doing.
