Campaign Story
Hi my name is Sam and i'm a medical student from South Africa. My friend Vish and i live in a house near Wits medical school which is situated in Johannesburg. We're very lucky to live in such a wonderful place. Our home is looked after by our caretaker Jabulani. Jabulani means rejoice in Zulu. And just like his name, Jabs is a very happy and kind man. He is the proud father of two baby girls. Jabulani grew up during apartheid here in South Africa which means he never received a formal education but he works hard. Recently he was able to buy himself a car after years of working as a groundskeeper. Unfortunately he recently fell victim to a terrible scam in which they stole R90 000 from him. R90 000 is equivalent to 7000 US dollars. For Jabulani that's 5 years of mowing lawns and looking after other peoples homes so he can feed his twins. We kindly ask for any donations to help Jabulani get back on track, thank you.
