Help us raise funds for Ivy’s medical treatment

Hi everyone,

My cousin Ivy has been recently diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkin Lymphoma. It is a cancer of the lymphatic system which is part of our immune system. She is only 16 years old and has a long and difficult journey ahead of her.

She spent an entire month last year at the hospital after experiencing extreme chest pains and was rushed to the Philippine Heart Center. It was during the Christmas holidays after a series of laboratory tests which included; bone marrow exam, lumbar puncture, numerous CT scans, 2D echo and countless blood examinations that the doctors recommended her treatment to begin right away after the diagnosis.

She is now on her 3rd chemotherapy session and she is due to undergo 9 more sessions along with medical examinations and check-ups to ensure her battle with cancer continues.

Having cancer and dealing with treatment is already hard as it is, but Ivy’s optimism and love of life attitude has kept inspiring us to root for her recovery. She wants to finish school, travel to Japan and collect all Hello Kitty trinkets. She wants to chase her dreams and explore the world. She’s just like every teen girl her age despite her predicament – scared yet brave, down yet hopeful. What sets her apart is her persevering faith that she will triumph over this illness that has seem to have taken over her life.
