Ivory Protection Group, Inc. is a new non-profit based in North Carolina. Our mission is to devote talent and resources to preserve the last remaining estimated 5,000 black Rhino's in Africa, along with other endangered wildlife. At the current pace, all roughly 5,000 remaining black Rhino's will be extinct by 2019 or even sooner unless major changes are made. We will be a major driving force behind that change.
Our organization and contacts consist of former US special forces and South African specialists that have devoted thousands of hours working in South Africa on game reserves and fighting anti-piracy/anti terrorism operations. It is very expensive to successfully staff game reserves effectively to stop poaching, and unfortunately the vast majority of game reserves and private ranch lands simply do not have the funds to support successful operations. Rhino's, elephants, leopards, and just about any other South African mammal you can think of are being poached for profit.?
