#IVFGotAFeeling it’s time for a baby.

Ever since I can remember, my biggest desire was to have a baby and be a mom.

My name is Anneque Neethling, 31, and my husband is S.J Neethling, 36 and this is our story:

My heart is broken. I am an aunt to 2 girls, 3 boys and a fourth baby boy on the way. All or most of our friends have kids and I am happy for them but in my heart, I also want that. I want to be called Mommy. To look into our own baby's eyes and not being able to explain how much love you can feel for such a tiny human being. I have attended numerous baby showers and birthday parties and each time my heart breaks just a little bit more.

Ever since we met, we realised we both loved children and want to one day be parents. Sadly, at that point in time we were unaware of the challenges that lay ahead of us.

Two months before our wedding, on the 27 November 2010, my husband was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. It had already started to spread but after months of Chemotherapy and lots of tears and prayers, he made a full recovery and has been in remission for almost 8 years now.

At that stage we didn't know that chemotherapy can influence sperm count, and I firmly believe that thanks to all the prayers, it didn't. My husband went for a lot of tests and his sperm count is excellent.

In the past 7 years, we have been trying to fall pregnant, and have seen numerous Doctors and specialists and everybody keeps telling us that nothing is wrong on either side.

A few months ago, we went to see another specialist and once again we were told that nothing was wrong BUT that we fall under the group Unexplained Infertility meaning that we will not be able to conceive on our own and will need to undergo IVF treatment.. Average couples have a 20% chance of falling pregnant in any given cycle, however, without treatment we have only a 1-4% chance.

The costs of IVF treatment range between R65000 and R80000, depending on medication and treatment plan.

Please help us make our biggest dream and desire come true and also have the privilege to be called Mommy and Daddy.
