ASSISTANCE NEEDED:

Below is a picture of the ultimate Fire Truck, which we really would like to have for assisting the greater area of Paarl.

It is an Iveco 4x4 with the entire wet section proudly build in South Africa by ANCO. It is a rough terrain 4x4, 4500 liter water and PTO driven pumps and reels.
The truck is especialy build for field and forrest fires and that is exactly our field of expertise.
Combined with our smaller 2400 litre 4x4 Tata truck, it would be the killer application.

Last season our team of volunteers did 96 fires with our equipment, (normaly 25-35 fires ) needless to say it drained our finances to the max. but we must not sit back and relax.

We are facing the worst drought since 100 years for the second year in a row and it still looks bad.

The farm-watch does not have sufficient funding yet, but if all readers and those who understqand our goals and efforts would help a bit, we might reach the 1.5 million Rand needed.
