Campaign Story
Six years ago, I lost my husband and soulmate to a lengthy and costly
illness, leaving me widowed with a teenage daughter and in significant
debt.
Just over 20 years ago, my husband and I bought our home in
anticipation of the birth of our daughter. After losing my husband, I
struggled to get once again caught up. I work hard, juggling two jobs
and running my own small business. I feel so close to being able to
maintain everything without worry.
The last things I have been working to get caught up with, mortgage
and property taxes, have fallen just far enough behind that I am now
in very real danger of losing my home of 20 years. This is both
frustrating and terrifying, being so close to being caught up.
The home my daughter grew up in is now due to see another new life
within its walls: My daughter is now expecting a baby of her own. I
want to keep our home and will do anything that will help stave off
foreclosure.
We are kind, hard-working people. We are thankful for you taking the
time to read of our situation. We will be eternally grateful to
anyone who chooses to help us keep our home. Thank you so very much
for your support. It means more than you might realize.
