It’s never to late to make a u-turn in life

All my life I have not known what I wanted to do. I just followed the flow in everything that happend. Never once knew what I wanted to do. Everyone called me a failure. Even my family and they made me believe that I was one. I lived a worthless life for sometime. All this changed one day when I became with an elderly homeless man whom I met on my way home from a late night outing. I was particularly attached because he reminded me of my granddad. I could not give him much but I gave and did all I can for him. A few months on, he fell ill. I took him to a few clinics where I was disgusted with the attitudes of a few doctors that treated him like rubbish. Never before I saw a man being treated like that. This happend in a few clinics. At one point treatments were getting expensive and I had sold much of my belongings to support him but it was never enaugh. No one would help. He passed on not too long after,laying on the sidewalk like he was not significant to this world. The hopelessness that I felt is indescribable. I've cried many nights feeling so disgusted at myself for wasting my life and not being able to help others. At that moment I had a good life. I had a car, a bachelors degree in business but I always felt like a failure. So I payed a deposit and joined med school. I vowed to myself I am going to dedicate my life helping others and make a change. I will do what those other doctors won't. I can't describe the new found passion I have for medicine and helping people. I hope that this campaign can help me fund my education. Thanks you❤️
