It’s my birthday

Hiya, my birthday is coming up, I'll be 54.. My 50th got swallowed up in all the drama of getting Mum into care, I did celebrate with my lovely girl but it was a 'going through the motions' kind of thing at a stressful time.. 54 feels like a much more of a personal landmark.

I want to treat myself so I'm asking you to treat me too!
I figured I've got enough friends on Facebook, if you all chipped in a bit I could get something I really want.

My phone died and I've been using a crappy little thing with a broken screen and no camera. I want a new phone, with a good camera, I really miss taking photographs. Also I want to get some speakers. I've had no sound system for years, I've finally got my big old amp fixed, I just need some speakers to plug into it, and then I can have music in my life again. The world is a better place with music.

If you feel like chipping in towards my birthday fund that'd be great, if not, maybe share it with friends, or just scroll on by.
A friend suggested I do this, I watched all the awkwardness and uncomfortable feelings around asking and then thought....WHY NOT?
I'm great...loads of you love me...and here's a chance for you to acknowledge my birthday without having to buy alcohol or cake (neither of which I'm really into) and as for buying me soaps/smellies etc...hey, that's what I do!
