Italy is undergoing an extremely difficult period, with almost 6,000 COVID-19 cases, and Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte signed a decree to put most of northern Italy under lockdown as of March 8th. The health system is under such an immense strain, that people are being treated in the corridors of hospitals (CNN). Lombardy, a region in the north of Italy, is blocked and closed until April 3rd, which makes it very hard for small businesses and entrepreneurs to survive. The objective of this fundraiser is to create an emergency fund for the Lombardy region. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me. My name is Fabiana de Savino, I am from a Milan, the capital of Lombardy, and I own an business with my husband in Portland Maine. Our family lives in Lombardy, so we are very aware of the situation. My email is [email protected]. We really appreciate your help, and we are grateful for your support. Let’s help Lombardy get through this moment of hardship. Thank you.
