In some parts of the world, children struggle to get access to technology and to learn about it, especially computers. Most students learn about computers through drawings in books and the chalk boards, and then replicate these drawings on paper, the ground and weirder places; anywhere they can express their vibrant imagination, just because there are simply no physical computers available to use.
Some schools do have computers, but in some cases so many pupils crowd around to share one, giving each person very limited access to explore this beautiful technology that many use to transform the world. This is the condition that most children from underprivileged communities in Ghana live with and grow from.
These children are brilliant, cheerful, hardworking and intelligent, just like every other child in the world, facing the future with an enthusiastic attitude and looking forward to all they can do to contribute to the good of humanity.
They wish to be a part of this computer revolution, but they need our help!
IT Project Ghana is a registered NGO founded by individuals to lead the way to help raise awareness and canvass support to help these children. We are all volunteers
We run a program where we give each of these children access to a computer/laptop and teach them as much as we can about computers and their use. We just recently trained our first batch of pupils in the art of ‘Touch typing’ at the Abokobi Library, Accra, Ghana and we look forward to celebrating them this Saturday(December 21, 2019) for their success in gaining this knowledge, that they can now build upon.
We have requests to run this program in so many other underprivileged communities.
Please help us raise $5000 to continue to run our next projects.
If you share in our vision and donate to us we will be accountable to you on how your money was used. We are so grateful to you for reading this and hope you will be led to give in this season of Love and Sharing
