I have always felt that the Jewish nation deserves to be helped. They have needed it many times. For 2 000 years they lived everywhere in minorities and almost everywhere they were the oppressed community. I think that probably because of the misery they have been through: the wars, pogroms, the holocaust or the hostile rhetorics of the arab nations, the Jews became one of the most human nation in the world. To be against the Jews means to be against humanity.

Last year I found out about an amazing opportunity to contribute to the promotion of Jewish continuity while learning about Israel, its history and the jewish culture. Sar-El volunteer program offers me to come to Israel for a number of weeks to work in I.D.F. at non-combatant positions. The part of the program, besides working alongside with IDF soldiers, is also daily lectures on Jewish and Israeli topics and some guided tours of interesting locations in Israel.

I wish to participate in the Sar-El program this year to contribute to the Jewish nation while deepening my knowlege and understanding of it, however it may not be possible without your help as I do not have the funds necessary for such a journey. (see more details here: http://www.sar-el.org/sar-el-program/expenses/)

With an overflowing heart of gratitude and humility, I ask that you help me raise the money to make my dream come true and travel to Israel to help it the way I could. I appreciate any support.

Thank you,

Vaclav Majkut
