Ironman UK 2019 – in aid of Bolton Hospice

This year i will be tackling the Ironman UK event in Bolton on Sunday 14th July as a part of team Jimmy Mac who have raised large sums of money over the past decade by way of Ironman and charity events and it is a honur to be part of this team.

All donations are for Bolton Hospice charity who provide expert care and support for local people with terminal or life-limiting illnesses and their families, in the hospice and at home.

An Ironman Triathlon is one of a series of long-distance triathlon races consisting of a 2.4-mile (3.86 km) swim, a 112-mile (180.25 km) bicycle ride and a marathon 26.22-mile (42.20 km) run, raced in that order and without a break.

My intention was to race this event last year but i had a bad training accident on my bike which prevented me but i have bounced back this year and with the event now less than 2 weeks away i feel ready for it.

It's been a tough trianing routine trying to juggle work, kids, a pregnant wife and squeeze as many sessions in as i could but it's all for a good cause and it will be worth it in the end when i cross that finish line!

So please kindly donate towards this fantastic cause and hopefully i can reach my target.
