iPhone XS Max or Career Kickstarter

I'll be using the alias "Johann" on this gogetfunding. I know this has 0% chance of going through but I'm at my wit's end. This ain't some story for you to pity me or what since I know there's a lot of other things more important to donate your money to. But like I said, this is just a final desperate attempt.

I'm from an average family. In my entire 20 years of life, I only met my dad for about 2 times. Since he is living outside the country. Last time he went home was last year, he bought me an iphone x. I was taking care of it but when I went out around december, it was snatched from me by a thief. It left me broken since it was a reality check for me. Now I honestly don't want to disappoint him so I'm hoping people can help me buy a replacement one. I have other things which I can spend the money on. I'm working to start a career on video editing/art commissioning but I lack the funds to afford the necessary programs for it. So I'm torn between buying a replacement phone or kickstarting a career. I'll appreciate anyone who reads this, whether you donate or not. But of course, I'll contact those who donate in the future and pay back the funds that you lent me if I go for the career path.
