The markets are extensive for an innovative system like INVISOR, as drivers worldwide will appreciate the benefits and convenience of using this system installed on their vehicles. Vehicle dealerships and automotive supply stores like Auto Zone, Pep Boys, and O’Reilly would be the most logical retailers for this product. The Internet provides an additional platform for the advertising and marketing of this innovative product, with many retail sites as well as sites for informative videos
INVISOR provides drivers with a significantly improved view of the entire landscape behind their vehicles, and drivers would be able to see it without turning their heads or removing their eyes from the road ahead. Two small HD cameras would be installed on each side of the vehicle in approximately the same location as the side rear-view mirrors. The interior rear-view mirror would no longer be needed, as the two cameras will provide an adequate view of the landscape behind the driver. Images from the cameras would be visible on the two small screens on the dash in front of the driver. The “on” switch can be linked to the vehicle’s ignition, and an internal AC-DC converter will provide 5 to 12v of DC power for the screens and cameras to operate, although the vehicle’s engine would not need to be started in order to operate INVISOR. There would be a short delay, lasting two to three seconds, before the system would be fully operational after being turned on. Various options can be added to the system to make it even more functional for drivers. These options can include night vision, fish eyes, and artificial “eyelids” to protect the lenses. Automatic wipers would keep the cameras free from rain and snow. The cameras would turn off automatically when the vehicle is turned off. Depending on the model of vehicle being driven, a camera could be installed on the rear doors, and the owner could add a third camera, on the back of the vehicle, in order to have a complete, panoramic or 3D image of the vehicle. The firmware can also be upgraded
