Campaign Story
Hello everyone,
Almost 4 years ago I found my lovely Tina in a shelter whilst living in Bulgaria. It was actually said she chose me, as she was already on a walk but randomly came to me in the middle of the yard in torrential rain, giving a lick. Although I visited some other dogs, something drew me back to her in the cage and it just felt right.
Since that day she's been a complete princess in my life, and travelled all the way back to the UK with me, despite many people thinking I'd just leave her behind.
About a month ago, she began drooling on walks and wasn't eating much. She never had the best teeth when I found her, and was always a sensitive eater, so eventually she went for some scans - more so because she was puking at times during the night.
Unfortunately it was not a good prognosis, and it appears she has had some chronic pancreas issues, amongst others, that have only really manifested all this time later. Tina is a dog who could find a bone on the moon, but who will now not touch a chew.
Because there is no clear cause, and trying antibiotics have had no affect, her only real option for recovery would begin with investigative surgery, but this is costly and I was advised at least £2000. It is also not guaranteed to lead to a solution, and wouldn't include aftercare.
As my sister said, these things seem to happen to nicest of dogs, and everybody who has ever met Tina fell in love with her. Because she can't speak for herself, I'm here to at least try for her sake, before she can no longer soldier through.

A Decision to Make
Update posted by Jonathan Lees at 12:56 pmHi everyone, Due to a change in Tina's behaviour since starting the campaign, I've made the decision to send her to sleep to avoid unnecessary suffering on her part. Thanks to those who made donations, I will naturally request they are reversed back to you all.
