Our Story

Purchased in 2001, GIS currently occupies facilities that previously housed a sports club. Having grown from 176 students to over 500 in our first decade, we have been blessed abundantly by God’s gracious provision. With our current campus full to capacity, every year it becomes harder to accommodate new students.

Recently, a legal dispute about the current property confirmed for GIS administration the need for a new, purpose-built campus. With uncertainty in earthly things but great faith in a Heavenly Father, our superintendent Don Williams states, “We’re praying that [the ruling] won’t be the ultimate judgment! But it is obvious that we must begin now to plan for new facilities. And we need them! We simply have no more room for growth.”

We have the goal of raising $18 million (USD) to develop a new campus in three phases. One year after launching the Saving Grace campaign in 2009, we were able to purchase 86 rai (about 35 acres) of land 10km south of our current facilities and begin drafting architectural plans. Now in phase 1A of the plan, the Tiger Truck campaign aims to raise funds for fill dirt so that construction can begin. The completion of phase one ($10 million) will see infrastructure laid and fully functional school built with space for 750 students.

Phases two ($7 million) includes plans for a gym, swimming pool, and soccer fields; phase three ($1 million) would increase school capacity to 1,000 students.

There remains the need for emergency funds in case a court ruling should demand sudden relocation; in the absence of such a ruling, the money raised can be reallocated for the new campus.
