Since he was visited and had his life transformed by American missionaries in his community, at age 12, Evando perceived growing within himself an incredible willingness to volunteer. With this he became a helper in his community, with work focused on children and adolescents, helping in their personal development and creation of projects (helped to found a group to support the school, he gives lectures at many places for teenagers about the importance of their actions, teaches what he've learned in English in some institutions that serve the target audience needy). In addition to this volunteer work Evando also became a volunteer interpreter of the missionaries who still comes to Brazil, activities that he does until today. He was awarded a trip to the United States because of his volunteer work in Brazil, and now he's raising funds to represent the children he works with in Brazil, at the USA(Washington D.C).He is a Brazilian student(no money), and still does not dedicate himself to any other work that's not the volunteer at the moment.
