I am a young entrepreneur who is ambitious and puts in the work to realize his dreams. I am also a husband, a father and a student. In 2018 I began a journey of moving into business after years of working as a programmer. I enrolled for a dual Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management (PDBM) – & - Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. At the time of registering for the program I was employed, paying for myself on a monthly basis. I finished the PDBM portion of the program in 2018 and registered for the MBA in 2019. I successfully finished all the examinable modules in 2019 and was left with the research portion of the MBA in order to qualify for the degree. I then resigned from my employment to focus on my business and my last working day was 28 February 2020.
When I resigned, I had a plan on running my business that I had already began and had recently secured a distributer. However, lockdown was implemented which meant that I could no longer pursue my business as it was selling food products in food cafeterias in office parks at eleven sites. I was however learning the ins and outs of the diamond dealing business during the lockdown period. This business was introduced to me by a fellow MBA classmate, who insisted that I would be a success in it. I have since learned enough on the diamond dealing business to move to the next step in it, which is to get licenses and proceed to do my first deal. To this end I require funding to the value of $9 490.00. The funds will be utilized as follows:
- $1 000.00 Diamond evaluation course (required for license)
- $350.00 diamond dealers license
- $70.00 diamond beneficiation license
- $70.00 jewelers permit
- $7 000.00 diamond detector
- $1 000.00 for purchasing a rough stone and processing it.
I am open to discuss or provide further details if required.
