Hello, my name is Isaac Mugerwa. I am currently enrolled at Uganda Christian University in Mukono, Uganda, and I would like to intern this summer for IT computer science at Jesus People USA (JPUSA) in Chicago, Illinois for their Nine3Nine Creative internship program.

Jesus People USA Mission Statement

In 1972, a group of Christians in Chicago wanted to change the world for Jesus. Now more than 40 years later, they are still at it. What started as simply inviting folks in for a meal became a feeding program. What began as a phone call from a mother looking for housing became a shelter, and now a complex of ministries dedicated to housing and resource services. Working together, ordinary people have been able to accomplish extraordinary things.

JPUSA heard a call from God to reach Chicago's inner city and beyond with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Each member grows and matures in the Christian faith through an intensive environment of Christian fellowship, pastoral care, biblical teaching and practical work through various outreaches to the "least of these." JPUSA members live in a historic hotel in a diverse, uptown neighborhood of Chicago.

*************************

During my stay at JPUSA, I will start my day with other interns for breakfast and morning devotions. I will then work in their Nine3Nine Creative program to learn web development (programming and coding), graphic website design, website management and more.

There are bible studies, worship time, community time helping with food preparation and cleaning, and community outreaches. I ask that you please consider helping me reach my internship goal by generously donating so that my transportation and passport fees will be covered, as well as things I'll be needing like bedding, linens and incidentals. Should the donations exceed the amount I need, the remaining blessings will benefit Bulamu Children's Village in Bombo, Uganda. Bulamu is where I was raised. They currently house 300 orphans. Please visit Bulamu's website (which I designed) to learn more about them. www.Bulamu-Uganda.org

Thank you,

Isaac
