Hello Go Funder!

My name is Tom Cavallaro; I am raising funds to create the “Internet Radio Academy” to help individuals develop online radio shows and stations. Over the past months, I have been providing free help to many people who are in varied stages with development of their online radio stations and shows. I have been doing this for free basically to understand the common needs of these online Radio Pioneers, which I have now figured out.  I have worked for CBS radio in NYC creating digital Radio stations, until my project ended in 2010.

Since then I have been struggling and trying to find my way forward. By happenstance, I saw a post online someone had made stating something like; They say you can’t make money with online radio.

 I replied saying yes you can, if you are not something is wrong… with that I have received a flood of people reaching out to me with questions asking for help. 

I was unprepared to charge them and really just wanting to put some good out.   I just jumped in and started doing One on One calls for free, doing laser focused discussions and questions and answer sessions.  Basically taking each of them through step-by-step of what they could or should do to meet the industry standards from their current position, to start making money.

Quickly I realize there is a business here, and I began planning it out, built a website, put together a bundle of basic free services and key information, and have now laid out paid ongoing education courses with a Certificate program for each area of the Online Radio Business.

 My plan now is to create a webinar-based school, providing both Free and Paid level courses.  These courses will help guide attendees though setting up an online streaming radio and streaming video station, and setting it up to meet the industry standards.  

 Expanding on my plan is to bring on top experts in multiple areas. From Word Press site building, Top Radio Show Producers and technical engineers for Ad Serving, Trafficking advertisers ads, Partnering, Promotions, Social media pros, Radio Host Coaches, Station owners, Syndicators, Advertising agencies, and much more...

I have to date self-funded and have exhausted my reserves. in order to bring on one support staff person and part time social media person,  and compensate some of these experts and pay for some technologies,  We will need to raise $165,000 for the finalization of the Certificate Programs with Ongoing Webinar Training with Lifetime Membership this will be just enough for our first year of operations.
