My name is Joanna, I live in Warsaw in Poland.
My biggest live goal is to work as an economist/humanitarian worker in development sector or in post-conflict areas.
I am educating myself from past few years on uniwersities and on courses to be as good in this as I can be, that I could give as much as possible from myself to change the areas in need of help.
Taking part in Kosovo International Summer Academy with a special focus on “Peace building in post-conflict areas – Diplomacy, Leadership and Negotiations” could give me many new skills nad great knowledge to become good specialist in the future.
I managed to get a positive decision and get a place at the Academy, but in order to be able to participate I need support - I have been awarded a scholarship of 300 euros, the full amount is still missing 640 euros plus airline tickets and insurance costs. I have to pay my remaining tuition till 7th of July.
I would be very grateful for any help!
Below I paste the letter of support from the Academy:
June 8th 2019,
To Whom It May Concern,
On behalf of Kosovo International Summer Academy, I would like to recommend Joanna Szukała in order to help her raise funds to attend our summer academy in Prishtina, Kosovo, to be held from the 10th to 20th of July 2019.
Joanna was chosen among a pool of over 900 outstanding applicants to join fellow young leaders from United States, Europe, Middle East, and Asia.
Joanna was awarded 300€ out of 950€. She is responsible for paying the remaining 650€ of her tuition. The tuition fee covers the courses, accommodation, meals, vocational trips, transportation between Prishtina International Airport and the hotel. However, it does not include health insurance (if needed) and travel expenses from her country to Kosovo.
Participants are taught by professors from the world’s most prestigious universities, diplomats, high-ranking officials, and representatives of civic society, who teach courses and deliver speeches on politics, economics, diplomacy, professional etiquette and protocol, leadership, peaceful conflict resolution, EU integration process, international law, human rights, international Justice, international security and the role of civil society in peacebuilding.
Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in cultural exchange activities and will be exposed to the native culture of Kosovo.
In order for Joanna to participate in this summer academy, it is critical for her to receive outside resources, and your contribution will be used towards her education to enrich her knowledge and support her dream in becoming a future global leader.
I am ever grateful for considering Joanna’s request for financial assistance. Should you have any questions regarding her participation on Kosovo International Summer Academy, please do not hesitate to contact me at [email protected] or + 383 44 551 594.
