Campaign Story
I have been given the opportunity to travel to Tanzania in February of 2019 as part of an international medical mission trip. During my time in Africa I will be given a fantastic opportunity to gain first-hand experience and insight into the Tanzanian health care system. I will learn from local staff and get involved in supporting them. Like many African countries, Tanzania faces an acute shortage of health care workers. Low pay, poor working conditions and limited training programs contribute to the problem, whilst the rising burden of HIV/AIDS treatment greatly amplifies the situation. Unfortunately, health standards in Tanzania have declined so much that it trails most other developing nations. I will be working in a local hospital to aid those in need of medical attention. I am so excited to gain experience that will help advance my medical career while exploring the Tanzanian culture. I am asking for donations to help fund this amazing opportunity. Any donations will go to me to help pay for this trip's expenses such as: program fees, registration fees, flights, uniforms, and other such expenses. If you are so inclined to contribute, no donation is too small, and your contribution will be used well. Thank you!
