Campaign Story
This campaign aims to fundraise for $ 450 to facilitate the International day of the girl child event that will take place in Moshi town on 11th of October. A group of 15 Non -profit organizations based in Moshi have come together host this event with the purpose of educating the community about the violence and inequalities a girl child faces in the community. At the moment we are in short of funds to host the event, we kindly ask you to support by donating any amount of to make this event successful.
The day will be celebrated by organizing various programs including awareness campaigns on Save the girl child, child sex ratios and Menstrual, Sexual and Reproductive Health (MSRH).
Progress for adolescent girls has not kept pace with the realities they face today, and COVID-19 has reinforced many of these gaps. Worldwide, nearly 1 in 4 girls aged 15–19 years is neither employed nor in education or training compared to 1 in 10 boys of the same age. And as well 1 in 3 women worldwide have experienced physical or sexual violence.
This year, under the theme, “My Voice, Our Equal Future”, let’s seize the opportunity to be inspired by what adolescent girls see as the change they want, the solutions- big and small- they are leading and demanding across the globe.
Join us in raising money which will support girls with the education they need. It's not the amount that matters but the meaning behind your donation.
