Hello

My name is Mqhele Mthethwa currently enrolled for second year at the University of Johannesburg doing Bcom Accounting. In Italy, there is an Executive Certificate Program in Administration held by the International Business School (IBS) annually at the CUOA Business School – Fondazione CUOA and I have been the few selected to partake in this prestigious yet challenging course running for three weeks commencing on the 09 th of July 2018 to the 26 th of July 2018. During the duration, an opportunity of attending lectures delivered by world class lecturers in the business world and doing company visits while experiencing Italy and building long lasting friendships, will be given to all those attending.

From a very young age I’ve always enjoyed a challenge and ensured giving my all too any given opportunity which includes being on the other side of the table in terms of granting an opportunity to those less fortunate. All of this has subsequently been what has fostered my life long aspirations of being an Entrepreneur. I have made a step towards the realisation of this dream by starting a logistics company with two colleagues that was established towards the end of 2017 and has since been in operation from the 05 th of January 2018. The company name is Nyamthi Transporters (Pty) Ltd based in Richards Bay. With all being mentioned above I strongly believe that an opportunity of this magnitude would enable me to make my dream a reality, subsequently giving hope to my peers in South Africa. Realising the opportunity at hand given by the IBS will readily equip me for a better future and a well-equipped citizen in terms of steering change in our developing economy.

The total cost of the program less the 50% scholarship is €2 789 made up of a €60 enrolment fee payable on the 10 th of April 2018 and tuition fee of €2 729 which is payable in instalments starting from the 10 th of May 2018. The total cost converted in to the South African currency (ZAR) is R40 375.546979 (Current exchange rate is 14.476711). The program also subsidizes accommodation at both Valmarana (single rooms) and Bester Western Hotel (shared rooms) at a charge of €40 per day inclusive of breakfast and internet which amounts to €40 * 21 days (three weeks) = €840 (R 12 161.9778). For meals, lunch is served at the university and costs approximately €12 including main dish, beverage and dessert. So the total cost of meals is €12 * 21 days (three weeks) = €252 (R 3 648.59334). Flight tickets vary depending on the country of origin and according to the internet flights from South Africa to Italy range from R5 000 to R6 000 single trip and R10 000 to R12 000 return trip. If possible an allowance would be highly appreciated. With all of the above being said, the total cost for the whole experience will be R68 186.12 excluding the allowance.

Unfortunately my family and I lack the sufficient funds to pay for all the given expenses which is why I would like to request a contribution from you as an organisation. A contribution of any magnitude will be highly appreciated in this regard. Also, I, have attached all relevant documents for confirmation purposes.
