We would like to introduce you with a beautiful idea - to inspire and support visually impaired and folk communities from province area in Lithuania. You can become great supporters and team members together with artist from Lithuania and all over the world. “Shadow of a giant” - interdisciplinary art festival is a host and introducer of interdisciplinary cultural projects and spontaneous events. It geographically interconnects harmonically acting collectives and also it holds the connection with neighboring districts and other cities and countries.
The name of festival is related with the farmstead Kvietkine, full of oaks, the presence of the real Lithuanian giants, where human being is meeting with his nature. The well being of man is the inspiration for activities, cherishing of the place. Network aims to generate creative exchange between performative art practitioners and to strengthen links with psychophysics scientific studies.
The main idea of the festival is to join different traditions and types of art as well as create new rituals of nowadays.
Artists from other countries will be invited to get familiar with Lithuanian traditions and rituals as well as introduce authentic forms of creative expression representative of their country and background. The nearby communities of Kalvarija and Marijampolė will also be joining the festival.
In order to make everything of this possible we need your help! As a Non-Profit-Organization we are dependend on donations, so every help means a lot for us and brings us closer to achieve the wonderful festive day this community deserves! This is the reason why we are asking you, your friends, neighbors, coworkers and all the people who love healing therapies with art to financially support the Lithuania visually impaired, folk communities and artists team on their preparation for the festival.
