Integrated Childcare Service

All children benefit when all children, regardless of ability, are served together in an inclusive environment. The children with special needs learn social skills, and learn at a rate they would not in segregated settings. But just as importantly, children without special needs learn tolerance for differences, and show improved self-concept and growth in developing healthy socialization skills.

All of us benefit from a community life where all are welcome, regardless of ability. The lessons of tolerance and appreciation for difference are lessons we can all use from time to time, regardless of our ages!

   I am Special Indeed is an integrated child care service giving children with special needs the opportunity to learn and play with children their own age not based on their special needs. When a special child interacts with child that does not have special needs on a daily bases they tend to understand and learn more. Having an integrated child care service will also help with the bullying problem we are now face seeing as how children without special needs are interacting, becoming friends and getting a better understanding of the problems that child with special needs face on day to day bases. We are hoping that the terms SPECIAL NEEDS/ DISABILITY will soon be obsolete and judgment will not passed because of a Childs differences. As of right now I am Special Indeed is in desperate need of a new location. With a new location we will be able to hire more staff members thus providing an even greater more attentive learning experience, with more class rooms there will be an exceptional amount space which will generate a plethora of extracurricular activities.
