Campaign Story
We (Rachel and Jandré) took in a puppy that was being abused by a group of children on the streets of Senga Bay, Malawi. We were volunteering there at the time and living in the area. The owner begged us to take her off her hands and fearing her fate, we did. We were at a loss. We could not fathom taking her back to South Africa with us and at the same time we were informed that mongrels in kennels don't have a very high adoption rate in Malawi. So we bided our time, nurtured her back to health, all the while looking for potential homes. However, soon we fell in love with this little creature and now we cannot bear to part, she has come on all our adventures with us, camping on the bay, on long and crowded bus rides, on the back of bikes, all over Malawi we have travelled with little Inka in tow. We simply cannot afford to fly her back to SA, as per pet importation laws, all our money has been spent on living costs while volunteering here in Malawi. Thus we turn to you, anyone who can help and assist us and this little dog of ours, to get her over to Hermanus, South Africa. Visit our FB page for more information on the situation. Thank you.
