Hello Family and Friends. As most of you know, I had a horrible accident at work on 11/15/15, and have been struggling to keep me and my family afloat. Unfortunately, workmans comp has been less than accommodating to help me get the required surgery on my back. That is the only option I have available to me is surgery. Yes, I have a lawyer, but the soonest date we will get scheduled for court is in September or October.

For those wondering what happened to me. On 11/15/15, I tripped out of a malfunctioning elevator at work. The pain in my back was instant. Went to the hospital for what doctors assumed was a strain. Unfortunately, the pain didn't go away. Docs did an MRI and found that I separated my Sacroiliac Joint in my lower right back. We tried less invasive things like Physical Therapy, and Sacroiliac Joint Injections. None of those methods worked. I was sent to the surgeon who reviewed my situation, and I was told I needed a fusion. As soon as Workmans comp got the request, they refused to cover the surgery, and sent me to an Independent Medical Examiner who of course said I didn't need surgery! I actually went to a second surgeon to get a second opinion, and the second surgeon again reviewed everything and determined the only option was a fusion. Of course workmans comp chose to close my claim and leave me in the cold! The craziest part? Workmans comp inspected the elevator and determined that the elevator was not properly maintained, and that it was the contributing factor in my accident.

Why would workmans comp do such a thing? Apparently this is typical for them to do to workers! I have heard countless horror stories like mine! Their main reason is, there is no guidelines for a SI Joint fusion! That's right. They have no guidlines for this injury, and for that, they used that as a reason to close my claim! I suspect it's all a cost situation for them, which is why they choose to put injured workers out in the cold. It's disgusting, and completely unfair.

I met with my doctor yesterday, and he reluctantly approved me to return back to work, even with this injury. I am meeting with my employer next week to discuss options. There is a possibility that I could be medically separated due to this injury! I will do everything in my power to not have this happen. As you can imagine, the stress is beyond belief right now.

For those of you that know me. I am a good man, good husband, and a good father. I have worked 3 jobs at one time to support my family. What else can I do at this point? Having been out of work since 11/15/15, as you can imagine, our savings account is gone. We are literally in a big pickle. I got a loan to help get me through these tough times, and now that loan is completely depleted. Next up? Bill's, groceries, and life.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. And no, I am not from Nigeria! LOL! I am a hard working father who got hurt while trying to provide for my family. This whole situation is just awful! Not to mention, I am typing this while gritting my teeth in pain. Please, do not feel obligated to help. I am going to keep fighting, and do everything I can! I just need a little help to get there. My hope is to win the case, get my surgery, and pay back whoever helps me through this.

PS- If you have any questions or suggestions... Feel free to message me! My ultimate goal is to get this fusion so I can return to work.
