Ingrid’s First House

My name is Page Proctor and this is my petition in trying to help my 76 year old mother-in-law, Ingrid Proctor. acheive the dream of owning her first home before she loses her fight for life.

Seven years ago Ingrid required and underwent a double heart valve replacement surgery. At first glance all was well, no one saw or suspected any problems, but approximately 6 months ago, the Doctors at the Reno hospital realized that there was a problem with one of the valves, and after 4 days of non-stop testing, it was determined that there was nothing that could be done to aleviate the problem.

Now going back to the time of the surgery, according to the insurance company BEFORE the surgery, everything was a go, they green lighted everything. Three months later my in-laws get a medical bill for close to $200,000.00!!! The insurance company "messed" up by "dropping" Ingrid's insurance policy 2 days before her surgery and even though it was their fault, they refused to take care of any of mom's bill forcing my in-laws to "empty" their savings account to pay for Ingrids heart surgery.

Since mom's recent "go home and get your affairs in order" diagnosis, I want to attempt to help her acheive a dream that she has had for the past 40 years and that is to finally live in a home that is all hers! If any one was to meet Ingrid, you would walk away knowing that you had just met one of the sweetest ladies ever known. She might not know someone, but if there was something that she could do to help you, she wouldn't even hesitate!

Please consider helping with this fundraiser, all I want to do is help Ingrid with her one dying wish, home ownership, at present, Roy and Ingrid live in a 32 foot travel trailer, for me this is not acceptable. As far as I am concerned, if you are ages 72 & 76 you should be living in your own home NOT a 5th wheel travel trailer !!
