Greetings from Aditya Fine Arts
Aditya Fine Arts is an endeavour to promote Indian Classical Music in Singapore with emphasis on Violin, Keyboard and Carnatic Vocal. Since 2005 Guru Aditya has been pushing the boundaries in bringing Carnatic music to the doorsteps of the younger generation, literally. He has pioneered a new way of teaching and interested students can no longer find an excuse. Of course, having once started on the learning journey they are usually hooked for life!!
Over the years however it has been quite an effort to convert this success into a mainstream following simply because of the financial constraints involved in this effort. Single-handedly he has steered the ship but now Aditya Fine Arts (AFA) requires the push to the next level. AFA has identified that this can be done by organising events across Singapore on a periodic basis. The young and budding artists from AFA as well as the common public will get a platform to showcase their talent.
The plan is to hold at least 4 events annually that will include Carnatic artists both vocalists and instrumentalist. Each event is likely to cost between S$ 5,000 – S$ 8,000 and this means every year we will need to raise S$ 20,000 at least to run such events in a professional manner. Typically we have the young artists, their parents and grandparents too and the event witnesses between 200 to 250 footfalls on the day. Enthusiasts and supporters include South Indians audience with a keen interest in Carnatic Indian Culture and Arts.
Further, to ensure transparency we will publish our financial accounts to bring more credibility to this initiative. In addition, if you can contribute by way of efforts too, please do let us know and we will be happy to accommodate as many such volunteers as possible.
We look forward to your contributions for this worthy cause.
