Campaign Story
I along with a select few students from my school will be going on an expedition to India in 2014.
We will travel to the area of Villupuram; an agricultural state of Tamil Nadu. It is here that we will undertake community project work with ARMDS. ARMDS was set up to alleviate suffering of people with disabilites and other minority groups, helping with rehabilitation and establishing a caring society. The organisation works in several rural communties in Vilupuram, providing this support to the vulnerable groups. Work will involve improving the facilities at the centre, as well as providing assistance with many outreach programmes they offer. Such as teaching English and other classes, or renovating buildings.
This project is a unique opportunity for us to immerse ourselves in Indian culture and project work such as this provides a high valued service to people in need as well as allowing myself and my group to experience life in a very different environment.
All donations will be greatly appreciated. Know that your money will be used for good.
Rewards
Donators of 5 will recieve a personalised photo postcard thanking them for the donation and showing them what they have helped me to achieve.
