Campaign Story
In August 2016 I will be travelling to Bhopal in India along with a student team from Leeds Beckett University to volunteer in the local community. The projects that we are aiding involve outreach programmes to help women who have been through traumatic experiences, adults who have mental illnesses and help give an education to local children who no longer have a family. We are aiming to improve the quality of life for this community and volunteer in any way possible to help them recover their city and overcome the disaster of 1984 that left the area in terrible conditions.
I am raising funds to both travel over to India and to donate as much as possible to the charity once we arrive there. I will be organising fundraising events throughout this year and will keep you updated with my progress as I go!
