Independent climate change research

Hi all,

I am grateful to live in this beautiful world and I truely hope that many more generations will be able to live under the same conditions. Nowadays there is, as probably everybody knows, a lot of discussion about climate change and what the influence of humans is. I am glad that we have a lot of discussions about this matter. In these discussions the research and underlying facts are obviously most important. Unfortanately the discussion is not about what kind of actions we should undertake based on a consensus about the facts but we are discussing about if these researched facts are true or not. A statement many researchers make is that they are depending on researchsfunds in their carreer and therefor it is extremely hard for them to think freely.

Maybe we can try a new way of doing research. It is in our own best interest to make these scientists more independent and to give them a way to think out of the box.

So what is my plan? ( I am no scientist so I am open for suggestions)

1. Raise money so researchers are not working for a party who has a specific result in mind

2. Get all kind off scientists on board. All scientists can do suggestions about what should be researched. They can make a plan for this, get approval and a budget to go out and get the facts!

3. All research will be published on a webpage with anonymity for the scientists so they can speak freely. All data will be on the website so everybody is able to double check.

4. Supply our peoples and politicians with this information. Start a discussion where politicians can first agree on the facts.

There is too much discussion about the facts. Lets get our facts right and give scientists room to work and think freely. Science should not be depended on organisations who are offering them money. Science should directly work for society. Society should be its client! Independence is key.

This idea is open for suggestions! Lets see if we as 'the inhabitants of earth' could find a way to make science truely independent!
