In desperate need of a car!

Hi everyone!

My name is Kerstin and I am 54 years old.

I am in desperate need of a car to get to and from work.

I live in quite a rural area in Svalöv, Sweden and unfortunately do not have the funds to relocate at the moment. The harsh winter weather has made not having a car in the countryside even more stressful because, of course, it means more train delays and cancellations.

I currently work 2 jobs, one in a clothing store and the other in a nursing home for the elderly. I have 3 km to my local train station and so every day I have to walk back and forth to catch a train, which is about a 30 min. journey each way (in the summer, I would ride my bike but I gave up on that after it was stolen so many times when left at the station). These trains run once an hour and there are train problems daily, which means I have to leave my home up to three hours early to ensure I’ll arrive to work on time. I did previously own a car but it broke down more than a year ago.

If I was able to purchase a secondhand car, I would be able to drive to another station around 7 km away where trains depart every fifteen minutes. It would save me so much time and ease the pain in my feet, knees and legs caused by osteoporosis. Some days, I have to leave home at 8AM and do not return until around 10PM. It is extremely isolating and frustrating because, as I said, I do not have the funds to move closer to the city (Malmö) yet.

My wish is to purchase a secondhand car to make my daily life easier. My wish is to be able to continue to work for as long as I can and have a better quality of life.
