In need of a running vehicle

I have been working for a very decent company and just received a offer for a promotion within the company. Less than one week after i received the offer, my car started performing very poorly. The wheel bearings and ty rods are very very loose and are recreating a dangerous situation for me driving it. I have been very loyal and dedicated to my employer and i had to notify them without giving 2 weeks prior notice that i would not be able to continue employment due to transportation and safety circumstances. I work 37 miles one way across counties so i am unable to catch the bus as they do.not cross counties. Also looked into u haul, uber/lyft and car rental, all of which would be extremely expensive to afford. I am reaching out because i am in a unfortunate circumstance and i really enjoy my job and would like to be able to keep it.
