In Need of a Miracle

Here is our story: 

   A hard working mother of three, grandmother of 5- soon to be 6 & a wife of forty years.  In the blink of an eye, her whole life changed.  In early June of 2013, she was diagnosed by her doctor as having Osteoporosis and a fractured back. In October of 2013, she began to have weakness in her lower body and legs and started collapsing when she tried to walk. Her doctor sent her to an Orthopedic Specialist who said that she had a bulging disc. She had to be rushed to the emergency room soon after because she lost all feeling from her waist down. She was admitted to the hospital and had to have emergency surgery to remove a tumor that had developed on her spine and they found one on her neck as well. Her condition was life threatening. The amazing surgeon who saved her life, was only able to remove half of the tumor on her spine because it had entangled itself in her spine and had already done so much damage, removing it would have caused even more. The doctors have stated that she will never walk again. After the surgery, they ran more tests and discovered that she has five more tumors. She has four on her skull, and another on her femur.  The doctors also found traces of cancer in her bone marrow. We are swallowing our pride and asking for help. Her home is not fit for a wheelchair bound paraplegic. Our goal is to raise enough money to do major renovations to her home and to be able to acquire a van that is suitable to transport her back and forth to her appointments, safely and comfortably. Her whole life as she knew it has been turned upside down but, she continues to smile and press on for her husband, children and grandbabies. We are trying to make her life as comfortable  and independent as possible without taking away her dignity. We are in desperate need of a miracle.
