Campaign Story
My much loved brother and avid skateboarder, Mike would have been celebrating his 40th birthday with us all on 3 May 2019.
In honour of his legacy; I'd like to mark what would have been a milestone birthday by raising funds to support a cause that includes his passion of skateboarding, donating to Skatistan.
Skatistan is an award-winning international non-profit organisation providing programs combining skateboarding and education to children and youth in Afghanistan, Cambodia and South Africa.
Through the hook of skateboarding, they engage with children, especially girls and youth from low-income backgrounds, giving them access to safe spaces and education and provide valuable life skills that go beyond the skatepark and the classroom.
My goal is to raise $1,500 for this fantastic cause during the entire month of May 2019. $40 from 30 of his friends and family could get us there.
